Dayton has gone a perfect 10-0 against Ludlow recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Greendevils will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Dayton is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Dayton managed to slip by Williamstown the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Greendevils lost 22-9 to the Demons on Tuesday.

Ella Boyers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tayah Smith, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Ludlow was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Dixie Heights, falling 17-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Colonels: they've now lost nine in a row.

Ludlow saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shelby Ralston, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Ludlow's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Dayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dayton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .548. However, it's not like Ludlow struggles in that department as they've averaged .500. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Dayton took their victory against Ludlow when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Greendevils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
