Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Alexandria-Monroe walked away with it. They skirted past the Blackford Bruins 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Brynlee Humphries spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kinley Webb, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalee Morrow, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Alexandria-Monroe's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Blackford, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

As of now, neither Alexandria-Monroe nor the Bruins have any future games scheduled.
