Baseball Recap: Inderkum's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Inderkum hadn't done well against Woodcreek recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Timberwolves a 1-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Timberwolves last Thursday, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Harrison Manning tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Inderkum is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-9 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Inderkum's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Travis Outing Jr., who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Inderkum's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Woodcreek, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Inderkum will host Rio Americano at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Woodcreek, they will be playing at home against Bella Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
