Softball Recap: Central Wins Going Away Against Lebanon

The matchup between Central and Lebanon on Monday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Panthers blew past the Warriors 19-1. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lebanon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Central is set to face off against their familiar foe South Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lebanon will take on rival McKay at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
