Volleyball Recap: Norton's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Norton won the last time they faced Smith Center, and Halle Pfannenstiel did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bluejays came out on top against the Redmen by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Pfannenstiel, who had 11 digs and two aces. Pfannenstiel is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

While Norton might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Smith Center scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20.

Smith Center's loss came despite strong showings from Lillie Heiland and Keleigh Ochoa. Heiland had 15 digs, while Ochoa had 11 digs.

The victory made it two in a row for Norton and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coincidentally, Norton and Smith Center will both be playing Thomas More Prep-Marian the next time they take the court. The Redmen will head out to face the Monarchs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bluejays will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
