Preview: Sherman Wildcats vs. Silver Creek Black Knights
Sherman has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. After both having extra time off, they and the Silver Creek Black Knights will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on February 12th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
After soaring to a 25-point victory in their last game, Sherman came back down to earth last Monday. They fell just short of Clymer Central by a score of 44-41.
Meanwhile, Silver Creek's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in January after their third straight loss. Their rough 50-26 defeat to Clymer Central might stick with them for a while. Silver Creek was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-12.
Sherman now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Silver Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Sherman against Silver Creek in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 49-20 victory. Will Sherman repeat their success, or does Silver Creek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
