Volleyball Recap: Episcopal School of Jacksonville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Episcopal School of Jacksonville and Wolfson squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Episcopal School of Jacksonville had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wolfpack, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolfpack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Episcopal School of Jacksonville ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-20.

Quinn Edwards paced Episcopal School of Jacksonville's offense, picking up ten kills. Edwards really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 17. Bianca Brzezicka controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Wolfson found their leader in freshman Carter Rowell, who had 13 digs, three aces, and one block. Rowell is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 24 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Monica Mina, who had 19 digs and two assists.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Wolfson, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Episcopal School of Jacksonville will venture away from home to take on Florida State University High School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wolfson, they will host Bolles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
