Basketball Recap: El Cajon Valley Takes a Loss

El Cajon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grossmont Foothillers. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Foothillers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

El Cajon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Grossmont, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Cajon Valley will challenge Valhalla at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grossmont, they will square off against West Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season.
