Football Recap: York Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for York's offense. They were outmatched by the Clover Blue Eagles and fell 47-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Blue Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Ryan Brochu threw for 105 yards on only nine passes. Karter Faris was his top target, picking up 60 receiving yards.

York's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Clover, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. York will face off against Dreher at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Clover, they will challenge Rock Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Eagles will be up against the Bearcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
