Kearney had won six straight home games and Merrick Bruce did her part to make it seven on Tuesday. The Bearcats put the hurt on the Lincoln Northeast Rockets with a sharp 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Bruce, who had 18 digs and five aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last four times she's played.

While Kearney won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 26-24, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Lincoln Northeast saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addy Murrell had 13 digs.

Kearney's win bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Lincoln Northeast, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-21.

As of now, neither Kearney nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
