There's no place like home for Fairfax HomeSchool, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Evergreen Christian Eagles with a sharp 12-5 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 12 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Kiara Cruz made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Sadie Haas was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Madelyn Shaw was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Fairfax HomeSchool pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
