Basketball Recap: West Bend West Comes Up Short

West Bend West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the Grafton Black Hawks and fell 81-48. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-41 back in December of 2024.

West Bend West's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Grafton, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

West Bend West and Grafton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. West Bend West (ranked 317th) will meet Cedarburg (ranked 85th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grafton will face off against Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 156 places (172 vs. 16).
