Volleyball Recap: Logan Falls Short of Morgan in the Playoffs

Logan and Morgan squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Logan had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Morgan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brynlee Hanson, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces gave Hanson a new career-high. Sierra Nye was another key player, getting nine digs.

Logan's loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Morgan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Logan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Providence Hall on the 27th. As for Morgan, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Ogden on the 27th.
