Basketball Recap: Eastside's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Eastside needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Thomas Rouse. The Eastside Eagles secured a 53-49 W over the Fountain Inn Fury on Friday thanks in part to Rouse, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

When it comes to explaining why Fountain Inn lost, don't look at Terry Cunningham. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of EJ Lundy, who had ten points.

Eastside's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Fountain Inn, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Eastside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-63 win against A.C. Flora on the 28th. As for Fountain Inn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-47 victory against Southside on the 28th.
