Volleyball Recap: Guerin Catholic Takes a Loss

Guerin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Homestead Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Harrison Talarico, who had 15 digs and one assist. Aaron Demars also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Guerin Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Homestead, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Guerin Catholic has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Jeffersonville on the 26th. As for Homestead, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Noblesville on the 26th.
