Baseball Recap: Parklane Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Parklane Academy can now relate to. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brookhaven Academy Cougars on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Pioneers in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

Parklane Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Chandler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Slade Steele also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Parklane Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Brookhaven Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Parklane Academy nor Brookhaven Academy have any future games scheduled.
