Soccer Game Preview: Greer vs. Travelers Rest

Greer hasn't had much luck against Travelers Rest recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets will head out to take on the Devildogs at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Wednesday, Greer didn't have quite enough to beat Daniel and fell 3-2. Greer have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Travelers Rest fell victim to Seneca and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 4-0 to the Bobcats. Lilly LeBarron was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Travelers Rest dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Greer, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Everything went Greer's way against Travelers Rest when the teams last played back in March, as Greer made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
