Baseball Recap: Dedham Takes a Loss

Dedham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hopkinton Hillers. The Marauders were not able to make up for their loss to the Hillers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Cam Galvin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadiel Feliciano, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Dedham's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hopkinton, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Dedham will host Holliston at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hopkinton, they are taking a road trip to challenge King Philip Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Hillers surely won't give up without a fight.
