Basketball Recap: Trona Takes a Loss

Trona lost against Lone Pine last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trona Tornadoes took a blow against the Lone Pine Golden Eagles, falling 96-38. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lone Pine found their leader in sophomore Cristian Duran, who posted 20 points and five rebounds. Adrian Hernandez was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Trona's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Lone Pine, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Trona has already played their next matchup, a 74-54 win against Immanuel Christian on the 22nd. As for Lone Pine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 86-42 victory against Big Pine on the 23rd.
