Volleyball Recap: Cameron Danaher and Gia Moscot Secure Win for Veterans Memorial

Veterans Memorial picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Fox Tech Buffaloes. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Veterans Memorial easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-16.

Leading Veterans Memorial to victory were Gia Moscot and Cameron Danaher. Moscot had four aces and three digs, while Danaher had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces Moscot has posted since back in August of 2024. Mikajo Leon-Guerrero also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Veterans Memorial was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive contests.

The victory got Veterans Memorial back to even at 5-5. As for Fox Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Veterans Memorial has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Devine on the 21st. As for Fox Tech, they will head out to square off against Seguin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
