Baseball Recap: International Falls Wins Going Away Against Littlefork-Big Falls

International Falls's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings with a sharp 11-3 victory. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Keaton Maish made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over 6.2 innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Torin Thompson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Kaden Korpi was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

International Falls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

International Falls' victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Littlefork-Big Falls, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
