Softball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Oak Ridge's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Karns Beavers on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Beavers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Oak Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Hickman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Hickman has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Lily Faulkner also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Oak Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Karns, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-10.

Looking ahead, Oak Ridge will welcome Concord Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Karns, they will take on Oliver Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
