Uxbridge wins going away against Clinton

Recap: Uxbridge Spartans vs. Clinton Gaels

The Uxbridge Spartans extended their postseason success on Saturday against the Clinton Gaels. They blew past the Gaels 35-15. Uxbridge's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Clinton's loss came despite strong showings from Matt Phillips and Ethan Frisch. Phillips rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, while Frisch picked up 110 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Even if they lost, Clinton's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Connor Cox and Frisch who racked up four sacks between them.

Uxbridge has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.55 points. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Uxbridge will challenge Northbridge at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Northbridge is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Clinton, they will head out on the road to face off against Nashoba Regional at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Nashoba Regional is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
