Liberty Union lost to Northmor back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Lions walked away with a 2-0 win over the Golden Knights. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Liberty Union didn't let Northmor take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-22.
Jaelynn Dennison paced Liberty Union's offense, picking up five kills. Dennison got some help from Sophie Sharb and her eight assists. Madison Currens controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Liberty Union picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Northmor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
