Volleyball Game Preview: Elgin Maroons vs. St. Charles East Fighting Saints

The Elgin Maroons will challenge the St. Charles East Fighting Saints at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Elgin's tournament run continued when they took on Antioch on Saturday. The Maroons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sequoits.

Meanwhile, St. Charles East beat Addison Trail 2-0 on Wednesday. The Fighting Saints haven't had any issues with the Blazers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 26-24, 26-24.

Elgin has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for St. Charles East, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
