Basketball Recap: Lesterville Comes Up Short

Lesterville lost against St. Paul Lutheran back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lesterville Bearcats fell to the St. Paul Lutheran Giants 38-32. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooklyn Weibrecht continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Paul Lutheran, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. Weibrecht is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mia Sherrill, who posted six points in addition to five boards and four blocks.

Lesterville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for St. Paul Lutheran, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6.

Lesterville has already played their next match (against Meadow Heights), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they have already played their next game, a 67-19 victory against Kingston on the 17th.
