Softball Recap: Napa Comes Up Short

If Napa was riding high fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Justin-Siena on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzlies came up short against the American Canyon Wolves on Tuesday, falling 15-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-5 back in March.

Napa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Bowers, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Napa has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for American Canyon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Napa is set to challenge their familiar foe Vintage at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, American Canyon will face off against rival Petaluma at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
