Baseball Recap: Senn Takes a Loss

Senn entered their match against Disney II on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bulldogs fell 7-2 to the Titans. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jack Shanley put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Leo Sharkey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Owen Garr, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Senn and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for Disney II, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.

Senn has already played their next matchup, a 12-2 victory against Rickover Naval on the 1st. Disney II has also already played their next contest (against Foreman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
