Johnson City had lost five games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-8 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They won by a run and slipped past the Binghamton Patriots 7-6. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 5-3 win on Wednesday.

As for Binghamton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs.

For Binghamton's part, Dominick Bernthon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Rosado, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Coming up, Johnson City will challenge Norwich at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Binghamton, they will take on Windsor Central at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
