Volleyball Game Preview: Clarkton Reindeer vs. Bell City Cubs

The Clarkton Reindeer will head out to challenge the Bell City Cubs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clarkton picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They came out on top against Richland by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Bell City hadn't done well against Dexter recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Cubs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Bearcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cubs have posted since September 3rd.

Bell City wouldn't go down easily and took Dexter into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 21-25, 20-25, 25-17, 16-14.

Clarkton's record now sits at 5-14-1. As for Bell City, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

Clarkton took their victory against Bell City when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Cubs' Hayden Walter, who had 17 digs and three aces. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Reindeer still be able to contain Walter? There's only one way to find out.
