Baseball Recap: Nashoba Regional Takes a Loss

If Nashoba Regional was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Groton-Dunstable last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Middlesex Regional Patriots on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost four in a row.

Nate Machado spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

Nashoba Regional now has a losing record of 2-3. As for North Middlesex Regional, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Nashoba Regional is taking a road trip to face off against Westborough at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves are facing the Rangers at the right time seeing as the Rangers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for North Middlesex Regional, they will take on Lowell Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
