Softball Recap: Temecula Valley Has No Trouble Against Heritage

On Thursday, everything went the Temecula Valley Golden Bears's way against the Heritage Patriots as the Temecula Valley Golden Bears made off with a 17-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Bears.

Temecula Valley got a great performance from Charlee Carrillo as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Avery DePauw, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She has been hot recently, having also posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Charlie Lampkin, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Temecula Valley's record is now 2-0. As for Heritage, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Temecula Valley will face off against Bonsall at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage, they will take on Patriot at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
