Volleyball Recap: Malden Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Malden was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the North Pemiscot Mustangs, sneaking past 3-2.

Malden wouldn't go down easily and took North Pemiscot into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-18, 25-20, 15-25, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why North Pemiscot lost, don't look at Cheyanne Sawyer. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs.

Malden is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7-3 record this season. As for North Pemiscot, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-10-2.

Coming up, Malden will host Holcomb at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Pemiscot does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
