Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Enochs). They put the hurt on the Modesto Panthers with a sharp 21-5 win on Thursday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.
Soraya Mendoza was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.
