Basketball Recap: Fredericktown Comes Up Short

Fredericktown lost against South Iron back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fredericktown Black Cats fell 57-47 to the South Iron Panthers.

Fredericktown dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for South Iron, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fredericktown will host Ste. Genevieve at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Ste. Genevieve's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for South Iron, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the South Iron Panthers take on the Neelyville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neelyville will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something South Iron surely won't give up without a fight.
