Montpelier is 6-0-1 against Lamoille since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Solons will head out on the road to challenge the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. Montpelier's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Montpelier is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Harwood, who was ranked seventh at the time (Montpelier was ranked eighth). The Solons fell 2-0 to the Highlanders on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Montpelier haven't been shut out since back in September.

Meanwhile, Lamoille was able to grind out a solid win over Spaulding on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. The victory continues a trend for Lamoille in their matchups with Spaulding: they've now won three in a row.

The win got Lamoille back to even at 6-6-1. As for Montpelier, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 10-2-1.
