Basketball Game Preview: Azusa Aztecs vs. Baldwin Park Braves

The Azusa Aztecs will head out on the road to square off against the Baldwin Park Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Azusa ended up a good deal behind Duarte and lost 43-26. The contest marked the Aztecs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Baldwin Park earned a 50-43 win over Nogales on Tuesday.

Baldwin Park's win came from a few key players Azusa will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Rafael Godinez, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Avila, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Azusa's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Baldwin Park, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Azusa couldn't quite finish off Baldwin Park when the teams last played two weeks ago and fell 46-43. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Godinez, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards.
