Baseball Recap: Clermont Northeastern Comes Up Short

Clermont Northeastern lost against Blanchester two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rockets came up short against the Wildcats, falling 11-3. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clermont Northeastern saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clayton Bacon, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Bacon has brought in this season. Grant Carlier was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Clermont Northeastern's record is now 6-5. As for Blanchester, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clermont Northeastern is set to square off against their familiar foe East Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Blanchester will take on rival Bethel-Tate at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
