It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Munford had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Handley Tigers as they made off with  an  11-1 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Kastin Lathem was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Ashtyn Bishop, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Munford  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters  in seven consecutive  games.
Munford is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7-1 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Handley, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-22-1.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Munford beat the Tigers by a score of  4-0 later that day.
