Volleyball Recap: Fall River Takes a Loss

Fall River was the 3-0 winner over Lourdes when they last played one another back in September of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Emma Sampson paced Fall River's offense, picking up nine kills. Sampson got some help from Addison McDonald and her 14 assists. Dana Dykstra and Natalie Fietz kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Fall River's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Lourdes, their win bumped their record up to 19-12.

Fall River has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Deerfield on the 11th. As for Lourdes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Abundant Life on the 11th.
