Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nimitz). They never let the DeSoto Eagles onto the board and left with an 8-0 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Vikings needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

Nimitz has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for DeSoto, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Nimitz will head out to square off against MacArthur at 7:15 p.m. on January 21st. As for DeSoto, they will take on Newman International Academy in a tournament on Thursday.
