Basketball Recap: Oak Harbor Takes a Loss

Oak Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maumee Panthers. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Oak Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Maumee, the victory snapped their losing streak at ten games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Harbor and Port Clinton will compete for holiday cheer at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Maumee, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Genoa Area at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
