Arizona Lutheran Academy entered their tilt with Rancho Solano Prep on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs 43-40. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Mustangs are ranked 127th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nenah Brown, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 21 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Brown a new career-high. Heidi Iancu was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Arizona Lutheran Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.

Arizona Lutheran Academy has already played their next game, a 30-24 loss against Horizon Honors on the 31st. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they are taking a road trip to challenge Camp Verde at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
