Basketball Recap: Community Baptist Comes Up Short

Community Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 76-34 loss at the hands of the Clover Garden School Grizzlies. The Conqueror were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-23.

Clover Garden School found their leader in sophomore Jaquan Brown, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 17 points and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden DeAlto, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 12 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Community Baptist's record now sits at 4-6. As for Clover Garden School, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-6.

Community Baptist will venture away from home to square off against Sheets Memorial Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clover Garden School, they will host River Mill at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
