Tyrone Johnson, ranked No. 43 in MaxPreps.com's 2011 Top 100, has committed to Villanova University, according to the
Newark Star-Ledger.
The 6-foot-3 guard, who is considering a transfer to Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.), averaged 18.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.2 steals last year for Plainfield (Plainfield, N.J.).
* Kellen Dunham is the first rising junior to choose NCAA runner-up Butler University as his future college destination, the Indianapolis Star reported. The 6-4 standout averaged 22.6 points and shot 41 percent from 3-point range for Pendleton Heights (Pendleton, Ind.) as a sophomore.
