Normal University came tearing into Saturday's match with ten straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Tri-Valley Vikings by a score of 2-0. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Taylor Penn paced Normal University's offense, picking up nine kills. Penn got some help from Morgan Petelin and her 17 assists. Kylie Stanton and Ava Crabtree kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Normal University's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Tri-Valley, with the defeat, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 14-5.

Normal University has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Mattoon on the 4th. As for Tri-Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Armstrong on the 4th.
