Recap: Zion-Benton Zee-Bees vs. Warren Township Blue Devils
The Zion-Benton Zee-Bees fell victim to the Warren Township Blue Devils''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Blue Devils at home and fell 42-0. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Zion-Benton in their matchups with Warren Township: they've now lost six in a row.
Donovan Mcneal continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Warren Township, rushing for 86 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. Another player making a difference was Aaron Stewart, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown.
Zion-Benton's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Warren Township, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Zion-Benton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Warren Township will take on Oswego at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oswego will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Warren Township is ranked 20th).
