Volleyball Recap: North Mecklenburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

North Mecklenburg managed to slip by East Mecklenburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings came up short against the Eagles on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: East Mecklenburg scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-20.

East Mecklenburg found their leader in sophomore Sydney Leo, who had 11 assists and ten digs.

This is the second loss in a row for North Mecklenburg and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for East Mecklenburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Mecklenburg will take on South Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Mecklenburg, they will head out to square off against Charlotte Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
