Walton extended their road winning streak to five games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Ella Cobb. The Raiders walked away with a 3-1 win over the Pope Greyhounds on Saturday with plenty of help from Cobb, who had 22 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.
Walton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-18.
Walton's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pope, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Coming up, Walton will challenge Marietta at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pope, they will square off against Hillgrove at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
