Softball Recap: Goshen Central Gladiators vs. Monticello Panthers

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Goshen Central). They never let the Monticello Panthers get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Gladiators sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Addison Freiberger was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Goshen Central got a massive performance out of Sophia Springer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Springer is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Marley Northrup also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
